Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Apparently it's chocolate week this week!

So here's one of my favorite chocolate recipe for you.

Once again, it is so simple and easy!

You only need 4 ingredients:

  • Avocados

  • Raw cacao powder (100%)

  • Pure maple syrup

  • Plant-based milk (e.g. cashew, almond, rice, coconut, etc.)

Taste/texture:

  • Creamy

  • Chocolate-y

  • Smooth

  • Light

  • Not too sweet ;)

Equipment you'll need:

  • Food processor or a blender

I've tried using both a food processor and blender. Both work great! I like using a food processor because it's easier to scrape off after, because it has wider opening than a blender that is more narrow.


This avocado-chocolate mousse makes a great dessert or snack!



Recipe

Serves 2-4 small glass tumblers*

Ingredients

2 ripe avocados

2 tbsp of 100% raw cacao powder

3 tbsp of pure maple syrup (or more - taste to adjust)

1 tbsp of plant-based milk (I used cashew milk)


Instructions:

1) Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender.

2) Serve into small glass tumblers or shot glasses. At this point, you can store it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to 1 hour for the mousse to set, or you can just serve it right away.


Note:

*For the serving size, it really depends on how big is the glass you use to serve. I served mine in small glass cups used for whisky, and this was for only 2 people. However, if you use smaller glass containers like shot glasses or small glass tumblers, you'll end up with about 4-8.
